Alpine goat in progress2

For anybody who is interested in how to make a woodcarving I will try to lead you through the progress of this carving. I will try to tell my thoughts during the carving nd so on.  This first step is to carve the goats on the front free in rough structure. I will do that with a (guts) halfround chisel. Keep the carving always clean and the surface smooth. In that way don't strike against the direction of the woodgrain. That means; if you carve, the chisel always wants to come out of the wood.
