Description

carving the antlers etc and looking for the rough structure to get the most perspective. In oak. This piece off wood is to small, 4 inch dept, to carve booth moose complete in full 3D. So the attacting moose is rather thin but only viewing from the top you can see that. Because of the shadow you still can't see the structure behind the moose on the soil, so I have to carve the moose free on the backsite. To get more dept in the carving I bring the lowest part of a structures in front backwards So the highest part of that structure comes to you. For example you can see that in the  trunk on the left.  The mountains on the back are carved in a normal way with the tops on to the backsite of the wood and till halfway the mountains the wood comes to you and the lowest part are carved in the dept to the backsite. In this way you can use the dept of your wood several times to get moore perspective.
